Profile
He
is a promising right-handed batsman from Maharashtra, India, who is
highly rated by pundits. He made his first-class debut during the
2007-08 Ranji season and has been a regular with his state side.
Technically sound, Kedar Jadhav has played many crucial knocks for
Maharashtra and also has the ability to bat aggressively when needed.
He was awarded an IPL contract by Delhi Daredevils (DD) in 2010 and he straightaway made an impact by scoring a match-winning quick-fire fifty in his debut match. He then moved to Kochi Tuskers Kerala the next season before returning to the Daredevils in 2012.
Though he was not preferred in every match, Jadhav did enough to convince the Daredevils management to keep him in their side for the next two years. In fact, he was bought back by DD at the 2014 auctions despite tough fight from other franchises because of his heroics in the 2013-14 Ranji season.
He scored heavily this year and with 1233 runs in 11 matches, he was the top run-getter overall in the entire competition. Though DD did not play him in all matches, he played a lot of cameos coming very low down the order in the games that he played and partnered very well with JP Duminy.
With age on his side, it would not be a surprise is Jadhav gets a national call-up in the near future.
